Faithful presence is one of the quietest and most demanding forms of ministry — showing up consistently, over years, for people who might otherwise be forgotten by the broader church. The Ashlar Village Ministry is a direct expression of our call to confront isolation and extend radical welcome beyond our own walls. It reflects our conviction that everyone, at every stage of life, belongs to God and deserves a community of faith.
Four Sundays a month, we gather at 1:30 p.m. for a full worship service open to all Ashlar residents, regardless of their denominational background or faith tradition. At Christmas, we mark the season with a special evening service of Lessons and Carols — one of the more beautiful traditions in our church year, and one that resonates deeply in that setting. On Holy Saturday, we hold an Easter Vigil at Ashlar Village.
